As October wraps up, it’s that time of year again—goal setting. This is the season to pause and reflect on what we’ve accomplished, where we’ve stumbled, and how we can grow from here. I’ve been thinking about my own journey, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that resilience is the key to long-term success. No matter how much we plan or prepare, things rarely go as expected, but the ability to stay focused and gritty in the face of adversity is what separates those who succeed from those who fall behind.
I’ve had my fair share of failures along the way. When I first got licensed in 2006, my goal was to be a real estate investor. I thought I could build a rental portfolio and live off the cash flow. Simple, right? But I made some critical mistakes. I bought three properties in the fourth quarter of 2006—arguably the worst time to buy real estate in the last 50 years—and I financed them with negative amortization loans, the worst type of financing imaginable. Long story short, I lost all those properties to foreclosure or short sale. It was a tough pill to swallow, but that failure taught me that there’s no easy button in this business. You have to put in the work and embrace the process.
As you set your goals for next year, I want you to focus on what you want to achieve. It’s important to learn from the past year—what worked, what didn’t—but don’t get stuck there. “The state of your attention determines the state of your life.” What got in your way this year? And more importantly, how will you move forward with laser focus?
When I took full ownership of my actions and results, everything changed. This is what I want for each of you. Challenge yourselves. Take your goal-setting seriously. Build that vision board, eliminate distractions, and set ambitious but realistic targets.
As we head into the final stretch of the year, let’s remember that growth comes from taking risks, from trying and failing, and from pushing ourselves to be better every day. That’s the kind of resilience I see in all of you.
Let’s make 2025 our best year yet. Together, we’re building something great, and it starts with the goals you set now.
Keep pushing!

Ok, I'm going to take a little bit of a lyrical stretch to connect this song with a message. Truth is I just like the song.
“It was never my intention to brag” but our team increased market share by .5% over the last 12 months. I know it doesn’t sound like much…but trust me, it’s huge. Well done all!
