February Update

Hey Team!

February shaped up to be a strong month. You’ve put a ton of clients under contract, and the momentum is real. We’re also seeing rates dip back below 6% and while the payment change isn’t always dramatic, that “5-point-something” number is a big psychological win for buyers. It feels meaningfully better than 6%, and we’re already seeing that show up in a noticeable uptick in demand. My boys(Blake 13 & Liam 10) have been in a leadership program called Elite Youth for the past few years, And their coach, Coach Stephanie, has had a profound impact on both of their mindsets.  One of the things I really appreciate about how she teaches is that she pushes them to speak from the heart. She helps them pay attention to what they say when things are hard, when they’re frustrated, when they’re disappointed, or when they want to quit. Because the words come first. And if you don’t challenge them, they start to define you.

As I’ve listened to her coach them, I’ve caught myself doing the same thing in business. I’ve caught myself thinking about how often we do this in real estate. We say things like, “I’m on a hamster wheel,” or “This market is terrible,” or after a tough appointment, “I lost the listing.” And maybe in the moment those phrases feel honest, but they’re also expensive. Because words become beliefs. Beliefs become behaviors. Behaviors become production.

What if we started changing the language?

What if “I’m on a hamster wheel” became “I’m building a flywheel” because the calls, follow-up, check-ins, and client care we do every day are not meaningless repetition, they are compounding momentum. What if “This market is terrible” became “This market requires a different skill set” because every market rewards someone, and the ones who adapt win. What if “I lost the listing” became “I gained feedback for the next appointment” because in a commission business, rejection isn’t a verdict, it’s training.

That shift may sound small, but it changes everything. It changes how we carry ourselves. It changes how we show up for clients. It changes how long we can stay strong in a business that doesn’t hand out promotions or guaranteed paychecks. In this business, we hunt and we eat. Which means the language we use isn’t fluff…it’s fuel.

The Last 30 Days: Grow, Refresh & Realign Grow:

Thank you all that showed up for the Tom Ferry event!  It was a blast!

Here’s one of my favorite slides.  It reminded me to just do the work and the pieces will fall in place.  The full deck is attached:

Refresh:

Quick update on our brand refresh!  We’re making solid progress and we’re currently in the “design exploration” phase, looking at a few different color palettes and how they translate across everything we touch (signage, digital, presentations, apparel, office, etc.). We haven’t made final selections yet, and we’re still undecided on whether a name change will be part of the future direction. But… here are a couple slides with the leading color options so you can see where we might be headed. More to come as we finalize the direction.

Sage & Sunset

Stay Golden

Realign:

We’re making strong progress on our new dashboarding system called Win the Day, built to give you clearer visibility into the handful of numbers and actions that actually move your business forward. The goal is simple: help you take control of your day instead of letting the day control you. You’ll see a daily rhythm built around three 1.5-hour blocks…prospecting, appointments, and working on your business, not just in it. We’re also reinforcing the “eat the frog” mindset: get your lead generation and role play done early, before distractions stack up. It’s not about being perfect! It’s about stacking wins and asking: can you win 5 out of 7 days this week?

Next 30 Days

Join us for our virtual All Agent meeting on March 14th at 10am. The marketing guru and fan favorite Jimmy Mackin will be joining ud.

A quick and powerful message on how to get “unstuck”

This one really resonated with me. Sinek's main point is simple but powerful: every time someone on your team has a win, ask them "Who helped you?" and then publicly recognize those people. This is about building a team where people actually serve each other. He says the "average" teams that trust and support one another consistently outperform the teams full of individual stars.

Tech I’m researching

AnswerThePublic: Know what prospects are asking

If you want to win online today, guessing no longer works. You need to know what questions people are actually asking. AnswerThePublic gives you that insight. It pulls real search behavior from Google and AI platforms, showing you exactly what people are typing when they’re researching neighborhoods, agents and the buying or selling process.

This is gold for content creation. Instead of posting what you think people care about, you’re answering the questions they’re already asking. That’s how you show up in search results and, increasingly, how you get recommended by AI.

Agents using this tool aren’t just creating more content. They’re creating more relevant content.

Rejig.ai   It's an AI-powered social media tool built specifically for real estate agents,  it creates branded content, schedules posts, and handles everything from listings to market updates across all your channels. I've been hearing from some agent friends that it's delivering solid results. If you're struggling with consistent content, this one's worth a look.
