Fall Findings

Hey Team,

October is my favorite month of the year! It’s the month we begin to think on how we want 2022 to finish out and start shaping our goals for 2023! As you all know, this industry operates in 90 day cycles. The activities we are doing today will show up on the scoreboard next year! Your team leaders will be getting with you soon to help create a clear biz plan that is specific to your goals.


One of my goals for 2023 is to communicate the vision on a more consistent basis and provide insights to what is going on behind the scenes. More consistent transparency!


What have we been up to for the last 30 days:


SOAR Meetings - We conducted SOAR meetings with leaders from each division of the team. SOAR is a strategic planning framework that focuses on strengths and opportunities with a seek to understand approach. It allows us to view the company as a whole by including the voices of key stakeholders. Each division had an engaging focus group that took a look back at 2022 and prior in order to have a forward-looking strategy for 2023.


S.O.A.R

  • Strengths What can we build on? What do we do well?

  • Opportunities What are our clients and team members asking for? What needs to improve?

  • Aspirations What do we care deeply about?

  • Results How do we know we are succeeding?


Once our annual planning is completed, we’ll share the key objectives in a Launch Meeting to emphasize how contributions from the group are being used to inform our business decisions.


Lead Automation- We are excited to take additional steps in the automation of lead follow-up on company generated opportunities. We are currently onboarding into a new system called CallAction that will allow a portion of our leads to be worked through automation to client appointment interest. With buy cycles extending, we are looking into options to help work through our databases and foster clients through automations to open agents up to new clientele intake without the loss of nurturing their databases.


TC Referral Pilot - In September, our amazing Transaction Coordinators began a pilot program to help grow client conversations. This involves specific steps of the transaction and fitting into their conversations a "referral ask". They practiced scripts and role played daily! As we all know, this alone is challenging. Soon they will begin facilitating more client conversations where client referrals and reviews are generated. Such a huge value add to our agent team!! Great job TCs! We appreciate all of you!


Zillow Unlock - JMac, Billy and I just got back from Zillow Unlock convention! Tons of networking and relationship building. We'll be providing some key take-aways on your next Flex huddle.


What am I excited for over the next 30 days:


Tech Stack Audit- We're taking a look at several of our systems to see if they still fit our needs and will carry us to where we want to be 3-4 years from now. Things like the Agent Portal(we know it can be super slow at times), Boomtown(the lack of integrations can be frustrating), etc. As a company we must always test new technologies. 95% of what we test will never be implemented! Why? Most tech will improve one aspect of our biz but break 3-4 other things…so it becomes a question of priorities.


2023 Planning offsite - We lock ourselves in a room for two days to discuss what bullets we are going to fire next year! All while keeping two things in mind, it must add to our team members success and add to a more delightful consumer experience!

November 8th - In person meeting - Avondale
